Daido Moriyama: Searching Journeys, Simon Lee Gallery
“Searching Journeys” is a survey exhibition showcasing the beginnings and later development of Japanese photographer Daido Moriyama. The exhibition encompasses a rich array of Moriyama’s iconic high contrast, black and white photographs. Moriyama was in Hong Kong last week for the opening reception held at Simon Lee Gallery.
Daido Moriyama has had over 100 solo exhibitions worldwide and is widely recognized as one of Japan’s most influential photographers. His career has spanned over four decades and his work has been collected by public and private collections including The Centre Pompidou in Paris, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
