Haagen-Dazs Launches 2012 Ice Cream Mooncake Collection

A Welcome Twist on the Traditional Mooncake

To celebrate this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival, Häagen-Dazs has once again created a spectacular collection of ice cream mooncakes. For over a decade, the renowned ice cream maker has been creating their own version of mooncakes with breathtaking mastery and uncommon ingredients such as their own specialty ice cream – to huge success.

This year the collection will include dark chocolate, strawberry chocolate, white chocolate and milk chocolate. The mooncakes will be available at Häagen-Dazs retail stores across Hong Kong SAR and Singapore from now until September 30 (selection may vary by country).

Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, is a time for celebration in Chinese and other Asian cultures. This popular festival is celebrated with Fire dragon dances, lanterns, matchmaking and of course mooncakes. The festival honors the lunar harvest and is held on the 15th day of the eighth month, according to the Chinese calendar. This year, the Mid-Autumn Festival falls on September 30.
