The fifth edition of mega contemporary art fair Art Central opens in Hong Kong today, at a custom-designed 10,000 sqm structure located on the Central Harbourfront. Art Central is open for the public from March 27 to March 31 2019.
Featuring 107 international galleries – 75% of which hail from the Asia-Pacific region – this year Art Central also welcome 32 exciting new exhibitors from Thailand, Russia, Israel, and South America; among others. Art Central is set to showcase a geographically diverse range of museum quality artworks to art enthusiasts and collectors alike.

In addition to a stellar line-up of artworks and installations, Art Central also features a variety of cutting edge performances and educational programmes across the fair through a series of partnership with United Overseas Bank (UOB), Swarovski, G.H. Mumm, diptyque and Marriott International Group.
United Overseas Bank (UOB) returns again this year to Art Central as a Lead Partner and presents a series of ink art workshops and interactive art installations. “The Huge Brush Ink”, developed by the world’s first TECH-iNK artist Victor Wong, is an interactive art installation featuring a gigantic hanging mechanical brush. This installation, together with UOB Art in Ink Workshops and the UOB Art Space, serve as an educational and cultural hub for visitors to discover contemporary ink art.
