Music lovers take note: Hong Kong’s stylish SEVVA will reunite with the great Quincy Jones’ protégé – Alfredo Rodriguez for two evenings of exquisite jazz music on April 10-11.
The show will be Rodriguez’s first return to Hong Kong since his sold-out performance at SEVVA in 2011. In 2006, the Cuban jazz pianist and composer was selected to perform at Montreux Jazz Festival, where he was discovered and signed by Quincy Jones. In addition to working with Jones, Rodriguez has also performed in major jazz festivals worldwide with Jazz legends Wayne Shorter and Herbie Hancock. After Hong Kong, Rodriguez and his band will travel to Tokyo, Japan to perform in Blue Note Tokyo.
Renowned for its dizzying 360-degree views over the city and sophisticated east-meets-west concept, SEVVA is one of the most impressive destinations in Hong Kong. The Harbourside dining room will be transformed into a cabaret-style venue for the event. Dinner/show tickets are priced at HK$1,280 (+ 10% service charge) per person.
