It’s tough to top the opulent golf courses in Dubai so The Track, Meydan Golf tried something new instead of something bigger. The result is the area’s first pay-and-play golf course located at the famous Dubai racetrack. Nine holes are strategically placed throughout 3,700 yards sprinkled with natural lakes and palm trees. A floodlit driving range, golf academy and two-tier clubhouse with multiple dining options are also on site. When the temperatures soar during the sweltering summer months, players can escape the heat by booking a round of night golf.

Just a 90 minute flight from Ho Chi Minh City and a quick drive from the Da Nang International Airport is Vietnam’s newest and arguably most spectacular golf course, designed by Sir Nick Faldo. Laguna Lang Co Golf Club is positioned perfectly between the sparkling East Sea and Truong Son rolling mountains. Faldo took advantage of the area’s natural landscape with holes that weave through sandy soil, dramatic dunes and streams. The 71-par championship course is also home to some pretty fantastic accommodations. Both the Banyan Tree and Angsana brands built five-star properties that are standing by to rejuvenate golfers before their next rounds.

Designed by international golf architect Ted Robison, the Whistling Rock Country Club took on a unique approach to the classic golf game. It boasts three nine-hole loops named for the three traditional tea houses, Cocoon, Temple and Cloud, which are located on the golf course. Water also plays a big role in the design with 15 lakes connected by streams winding throughout the course. The ninth hold of the Temple loop is perhaps the most memorable and features a suspension bridge connecting the fairway and the green that stretches across a natural bedrock canyon.

While not technically new, the Senayan National Golf Club recently completed a total renovation by world-renowned golf course architect Robert Moore Jr. Now this oasis within this bustling city of 9-million has more challenging and strategic holes, improved turf, and new amenities like a clubhouse, upscale locker rooms and a bar and lounge. The 7th hole is touted as the most difficult with mature trees framing the green and a large lake creating a natural hazard.
